Ludo: 2020 (Netflix)

Subject of Parallel Stories/Narratives interwining the life of its characters started way back in 50s with Hrishida's directorial debut (MUSAFIR-1957)..with films like YUVA (2004)..LIFE IN A METRO (2007) adding to its list (just to name a few)
This film joins the club

The trailer & the film reminds you of a scene from CHUPKE CHUPKE where BIG B uses an old adage "ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD" ..& summarizes this convoluted saga

"LOOKS CAN BE DECEPTIVE" goes a dialogue in the film & suits perfectly
The intriguing trailer set the ball rolling & looks great on paper too..but falters at execution level (though not completely)

The director plays a character who narrates the film comparing the lives with a game of LUDO
4 individual stories whose paths cross having a common individual binding them all..
What happens when their lives interwine..forms the crux of this game..
CLIMAX is a Downer (reminds you if recently released LOOTCASE)
Last Monolgue by the director makes you think ..

Screenplay is complicated with an interesting premise ..but seems convenient & disjointed at times...
Dialogues impress..but few & far between
PRITAM's music is a letdown..

PANKAJ TRIPATHI...towers among the ensemble cast..

ABHISHEK BACHCHAN is restrained

RAJKUMAR RAO...tries to be funny ..and provides humour at times

ADITYA ROY KAPOOR seems weakest
 Supporting cast play their part....

An INTERESTING PREMISE that could have been better ..
